Who you are calling
Hi, I’m Ryan Mandley
I am a VA Loan Specialist with WeFund Mortgage Corporation, NMLS #1181993, licensed in Arizona, California, Florida and Texas. I work with veterans, active duty service members, National Guard and Reserve members, military retirees and surviving spouses — buying, selling and refinancing.
The reason I focus on VA lending is uncomplicated: it is the best mortgage product available in this country, and it is chronically underused because most lenders do not understand it well enough to explain it. Entitlement restoration. Second-tier entitlement. Funding fee exemptions for veterans with a disability rating. IRRRLs. Loan assumptions and substitution of entitlement. None of these are exotic edge cases — they are ordinary situations that veterans get bad answers about every single day, and those bad answers cost real money.
So here is what this actually is. It is one person. You will talk to me, not to whoever picks up next. I underwrite your file before you write an offer, so what you hand a listing agent is an approval rather than a hope. And I answer the phone when that listing agent calls to ask whether your financing is real — which, in a competitive market, wins more offers than a quarter point of interest rate ever will.
Being licensed in four states matters more than it sounds. Veterans move. If you are selling in California and buying in Arizona, or PCS-ing from Camp Pendleton to Fort Hood, I can run both halves against one calendar instead of you coordinating two lenders in two states who have never spoken to each other. That coordination is where most military moves go wrong, and it is almost entirely preventable.
What I actually promise
- A real reply within one business day. From me, not an auto-responder.
- A straight answer about what you qualify for — including a clear no when that is the truth.
- An underwritten pre-approval, not a four-minute pre-qualification letter.
- I answer the phone when your agent calls. This wins more offers than people believe.
- No lead selling. Your information comes to me. It is never resold to six other lenders.
- I will tell you to wait when waiting is the right move, even though waiting pays me nothing.
About the “Stop Cryin', Call Ryan” thing
It started as a joke and it stuck, which is how most good branding happens. To be clear about what it means and what it does not: it is about the mortgage process, not about you. Buying a home is genuinely frustrating — the paperwork, the competing offers, the lender who stops answering the phone in week three. My job is to take that part off your plate.
It is not a comment on anybody’s struggles. If you are carrying something heavier than a mortgage, the Veterans Crisis Line is 988, then press 1, or text 838255. That is a real resource, and I would rather put it on this page than pretend a joke covers everything.
Easiest way to find out whether I can help: ask. It costs nothing and takes ten minutes.
